Better is a manifesto for EV communications change across 2025

The Better Manifesto understands we need both a better way to communicate emobility and to communicate that EVs are better. This is a B2B2C ideas framework to help do just that.

Better

EVs are better than what came before. EVs are better to drive. EVs are better on cost. EVs are better for clean air. EVs are better for climate. Also, at its best, EV charging is better than refuelling. EV, all round, are simply better. This point needs to be more forcefully made right across the automotive and charging sectors.

Campaign

Up to now, critical media and critical voices have defined the parameters the emobility sector works on. In 2025, the Better campaign will work to redefine those parameters, and creating a positive playing field on which to define emobility marketing, sales and storytelling.

Comms

Better will take the initiative to own the communications landscape, not respond to the narratives being defined by others.

Positive narrative

Better is all about creating a positive narrative for EVs, and defining the territory on which automotive sector organisations operate in a way that highlights just how good EVs and EV charging has become.

Good Vibes

Crucially, Better is as much about the vibe as it is about facts; as much about sentiment as empiricism. It’s about telling the EV story with alacrity and zeal, as much as it is about the factual side of myth busting.

The idea of Better is to be on the front foot with a narrative that's super positive, rather than reacting to media negativity.
