In joint association with Targa West and iDriveWA, The City of Perth will be hosting a family friendly EV Rally on World EV Day™.
It has been announced that the Lord Mayor of Perth will address the city about emobility at the event in Forrest Place & Murray Street Mall in Perth.
World EV Day™, which takes place every year on the 9th September, is a global celebration of the decarbonisation of mobility. Launched by Green.TV Media in 2020, this year we expect to see meet-ups like this taking place all around the world.
The City of Perth once again joins in the celebrations and will be organising a 12-hour ‘Meet-Up’. It will run from 7am to 7pm to celebrate electric vehicles and their drivers but also provide important information on how to transition to cleaner mobility.
There will also be a wide range of exhibits at the Meet-Up. These include up to 50 electric vehicles from a range of automakers and a SAVIC electric motorcycle, an Australian-designed and built all-electric road bike. Plus, an electric aircraft will be on display demonstrating that World EV Day extends outside of ground-based motorised vehicles.
Along with these will be the TOCEVA electric race car that took first place in the 2022 WA Targa Cup. This car also has the accolade of competing in the Perth-Sydney Marathon as the only electric vehicle in this competition.
